1. Make a list of pastors and influential laypersons with whom you are acquainted.
2. Choose those who have demonstrated good leadership ability and who would like to travel and study.
3. Ministerial Associations,
the Yellow Pages, and Chamber of Commerce listings can be a good source of potential Tour Organizers.
4. Be ECUMENICAL in approach to recruiting. Do not limit yourself to only your denomination. Draw from the many
brothers and sisters of the faith.
5. Mail a packet to ministers or prominent lay persons on your list, as well as those in your area. Include other denominations in your mailing. packet should include a personal
letter and brochure. (See sample letter).
6. Follow up with a personal contact. Make an appointment to speak to individuals concerning the ministry and educational impact of the tour program(s). Use reference of
mailed letter as opener.
